The Philadelphia 76ers are surely headed to a busy offseason after an underwhelming postseason campaign that saw them losing to the Boston Celtics and blowing a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

With free agency less than a month away, fans and pundits alike are now looking forward to Sixers’ summer plans and how the team can attain more success for the upcoming season, while also considering the fact that Sixers superstar James Harden may likely leave the team this summer.

NBA analyst Bill Simmons now tuned in on the Sixers and pointed out a possible move for the team, especially if they lose out on Harden this summer. In the latest episode of his podcast, Simmons suggested that the Sixers should consider trading for Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal.

It’s still unclear if the Wizards intend to keep Beal for the long run. While there’s no doubt that Beal is the team’s best player, there have been speculations over the year that the Wizards may want to move on from the 29-year old shooting guard.

Per Audacy:

“My odds on favorite is Philadelphia and I don’t even think it’s close. Beal and [Joel] Embiid, they’re friends. Embiid was trying to get him two years ago, which I kept telling people on this podcast. They ended up going with [James] Harden instead, Embiid was pushing hard for Beal. Harden is going to leave.

“If you’re Philly and you are going to lose Harden and now I have this shooter, that’s probably a better fit with Embiid anyway. And I have Tobias Harris on an expiring contract, couple future draft picks I could probably throw that I could probably find in my pocket somewhere. And, if you’re Washington it’s like, you know what we got out of the Beal contract. We have Harris as an expiring and we’re re-booting everything.”
