Timberwolves To Pay For Fan’s Name Change

This is one of the funnier stories of the past few days.

In the NBA’s first winner-gets-in, loser-goes-home game since 1997, the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Denver Nuggets and clinched a playoff berth for the first time in 13 years.

No matter how far they’ll make it, for many fans it was a huge success that their team finally made the postseason.

During this final do or die game, one fan showed up with a sign saying that if the Timberwolves clinched the playoff spot he would change his name to Andrew Karl-Anthony Butler.

Since the team eventually made the playoffs, the Wolves now called out the fan to hold up his end of the bargain. They even offered to pay for it, which, according to Minnesota Courts, costs $314.
