Timberwolves Fans Unleash “Draymond Sucks” Chants at Green During TNT Pregame
Minnesota Timberwolves fans wasted no time making their feelings known during Wednesday night’s Western Conference Finals opener.
As TNT’s “Inside the NBA” crew broadcasted live from Target Center, a chorus of boos and chants of “Draymond Sucks!” rained down on Draymond Green, the Golden State Warriors player turned analyst for the playoffs.

This outburst wasn’t born out of thin air. Green has become a vocal presence on TNT’s playoff coverage, known for his sometimes harsh critiques. However, some fans, particularly those of the Timberwolves, have found his commentary disrespectful, especially towards their team.
In the previous series against the Denver Nuggets, Green confidently declared the series “over” after the Nuggets took a 3-2 lead. The Timberwolves, then facing the Nuggets in the conference semifinals,took offense to this dismissal of their potential opponent.
Green also was critical of Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert throughout the season, questioning his defensive impact. This criticism didn’t sit well with Minnesota fans who see Gobert as a key piece of their success.
The chants served as a clear message to Green: Timberwolves fans weren’t happy with his past comments and wanted him to know it. Whether this display will affect Green’s analysis or the series itself remains to be seen. However, it certainly added a layer of spice to the pregame atmosphere.
