NBA Executive On Stephen Curry: “He Does Not Have Time To Wait For Wiseman. He Will Be Pissed If They Do Nothing”

The Golden State Warriors came out to play, but they aren’t just as great as everyone expected coming into the season. Right now, the Warriors stand at 22-22 which places them 7th in the Western Conference.

It may not be the time to panic for the Warriors since the team is just nearing their full strength, but perhaps some better pieces around Stephen Curry would have the Warriors in better position for success this season.

The front office has been very patient with their players, especially with James Wiseman who has struggled to become a reliable player. While taking that direction isn’t quite a bummer, a Western Conference executive said that Curry will be pissed if they wait too long and risk out losing early in the postseason.

Per Heavy Sports:

“Steph lets it be known, and he has let it be known that he is going to be 35 [in March], and he does not have time to wait for James Wiseman to make trips to the G League,” a Western Conference executive told Deveney. “He also is not of the mindset that they won a championship last year, and they should be satisfied with that – he will be pissed, frankly, if they do nothing and they lose in the play-in or something.”
