Kelly Oubre Jr. Involved In Late-Night Car Crash Following Game 2

Philadelphia 76ers shooting guard Kelly Oubre Jr. found himself in a harrowing situation just hours after his team’s heartbreaking Game 2 loss against the New York Knicks. The Sixers, who were leading by five points in the final seconds, saw their lead vanish as the Knicks staged a remarkable comeback. Donte DiVincenzo’s game-winning three-pointer sealed the deal, leaving the Sixers and their fans stunned.

But the drama didn’t end on the court. Around 1:45 a.m., Oubre was involved in a car accident while driving home. The incident occurred when he allegedly ran a red light and collided with a 2023 Hyundai Elantra. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but both cars were towed from the scene.

Oubre expressed relief that everyone involved was okay. “Everything is good,” he stated. “I’m OK. The people who were involved are OK, but I’m gonna need to probably get a driver or something and just stay off the roads and behind the wheel. But everything is good.”

The Sixers managed to bounce back in Game 3, securing a 125-114 win against the Knicks. Joel Embiid led the charge with an impressive 50-point performance, while Oubre contributed 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting and grabbed seven rebounds.

As the investigation into the car crash continues, Oubre’s focus will undoubtedly shift back to the court. The Sixers are determined to regain their momentum and advance in the playoffs.
