Magic Johnson On Unvaccinated NBA Players: “I’d Never Do That To My Teammates”

Despite the scientifically-proven merits of vaccines against the COVID-19 virus, there are still a couple of players who have remained reluctant on getting vaccinated. Among these players are stars like Kyrie Irving, Bradley Beal and Michael Porter Jr.

Magic Johnson now gave his take on basketball players who refuse to get the jab, saying that these players are letting down their teammates, which is something he’d never do.

Per CBS:

“You have said to your teammates, ‘I’m gonna be there for you’. Well, you can’t be there if you don’t get vaccinated. You’re letting them down. And then that hurts our chances of winning a championship. I would never do that to my teammates. Never.

I got my two shots and made sure I put it out on social media. I wanted, especially my community, to know, first of all, it’s safe. And the players, again, people listen to them, they follow them. That’s very important.”
