The tradition in professional sports is for teams to take a sunny summer vacation to Cancun, Mexico after a playoff loss. It’s a chance for players to unwind, soak up the sun, and forget about the grueling season. However, Barkley isn’t interested in sending the Pelicans to Cancun. Instead, he proposed an alternative destination: Galveston, Texas.
Galveston, a coastal town located southeast of Houston, has a reputation for its brown water. Yes, you read that right—brown water.
