Jimmy Butler On Dillon Brooks After Game 4 Victory: “I Don’t Like Dillon Brooks”

Golden State Warriors star Jimmy Butler has never been one to shy away from confrontation, and his latest remarks about Houston Rockets forward Dillon Brooks prove just that. Following the Warriors’ 109-106 win in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series, Butler made it crystal clear that he has no love for Brooks.

During the postgame press conference, Butler didn’t mince words when asked about his interactions with Brooks throughout the game.

“Get me on record with this, I don’t like Dillon Brooks,” Butler stated emphatically.

The two had exchanged heated words earlier in the game, particularly during a second-quarter free-throw sequence where Butler and Brooks engaged in some intense trash talk.

Despite the verbal sparring, Butler had the last laugh, delivering a 27-point performance along with five rebounds, six assists and five steals to help the Warriors take a commanding 3-1 series lead. Brooks, on the other hand, struggled, finishing with 11 points and six rebounds.

This isn’t the first time Brooks has found himself in the middle of a playoff feud. Known for his aggressive defense and outspoken nature, he has built a reputation as one of the NBA’s most polarizing figures. Butler, a fierce competitor himself, made it clear that their rivalry is anything but friendly.

“We are never having fun. I’m a fierce competitor. He’s a fierce competitor. There ain’t nothing fun about that,” Butler added.

With Game 5 set to take place in Houston, all eyes will be on Butler and Brooks as their on-court battle continues.
