A new team, a new city, and now a new place to call home.

After 11 years in the NBA and stops in Toronto, Portland, Los Angeles and Miami, Norman Powell is settling into the next chapter of his basketball career. The veteran guard, who joined the Chicago Bulls during the offseason, has offered fans an intimate look at his new apartment, complete with breathtaking views of Chicago’s skyline and Lake Michigan.

In a new behind-the-scenes home tour, Powell takes viewers along as he searches for the right place to live, eventually finding an apartment that offers spectacular views of his new surroundings.

For professional athletes, changing teams often means uprooting their lives, adjusting to unfamiliar environments and finding a sense of stability away from the basketball court. Having experienced several moves throughout his career, Powell understands the importance of creating a comfortable place to unwind.

The apartment tour provides a glimpse into that process, showing how the 33-year-old approaches making a new space feel like his own.

Powell’s arrival in Chicago followed an impressive 2025-26 campaign with the Miami Heat, during which he averaged 21.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists while earning the first All-Star selection of his career.

Rather than remaining in Miami, the former NBA champion signed a two-year, $45 million contract with the Bulls in July, joining a young roster that includes Josh Giddey, Matas Buzelis and highly touted rookie Caleb Wilson.

Although Chicago wasn’t initially the destination Powell expected during free agency, he quickly embraced the opportunity.

“I’m just really excited for coming to a new city, a new chapter,” Powell said shortly after agreeing to the deal.

After more than a decade of constant travel, demanding NBA schedules and several changes of scenery, Powell is taking the time to build a home in a city that represents another important chapter of his career. And with Lake Michigan stretching out beyond his windows, he certainly hasn’t chosen a bad place to begin.
