Victor Wembanyama Replied To A Four-Year Old Comment Saying He Wouldn’t Dominate In The NBA

Few things are as satisfying as proving doubters wrong. Victor Wembanyama, the towering French basketball sensation, has done just that. Nearly four years ago, a tweet cast doubt on Wembanyama’s ability to dominate in the NBA, citing concerns that his unique physique might not translate to success in the league.

Well, today we know that this statement could not have been any more wrong. Wembanyama has quickly become one of the most talked-about players this season. As the No. 1 overall pick, he entered the NBA amidst much hype and has since validated that enthusiasm with his incredible performances, showcasing his skills on both ends of the floor.

His averages of  21.4 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.2 steals, and 3.6 blocks are nothing short of amazing. Wemby was even able to top things off not only by winning the rookie of the year award, but also by making the NBA’s first defensive team of the season.

His success has now led to Wemby, who likely saved that comment for motivation, replying to the 187 week old comment, to settle things once and for all.
