Tom Brady almost made Kevin Durant sign with Boston

We all know that Kevin Durant signed with the Warriors. Every single detail, every last bit of hate towards Durant, every single traitor comparison – it’s all been talked about to a point where it has become annoying. But: Kevin Durant almost ended up wearing Celtics green. Kevin Durant recently stated, that he likes coach Brad Stevens, and the team’s overall style of play. On top of that, Tom Brady’s recruiting pitch was “very effective” and “very compelling”, at least that’s what Celtics co-owner Wyc Grousbeck told Boston’s 98.5 The Sports Hub.

In my opinion, Boston might have been a better place for Durant to land, but he probably wouldn’t have been a top contender with the C’s next season.
