Stephen A. Smith Is Sad For Kevin Durant, Because Kyrie Irving ‘Flat Out Betrayed’ Him

Kyrie Irving’s vaccination status continues to be one of the biggest storylines this season. The controversial Brooklyn Nets star chooses not to get vaccinated and now has to live with the consequences of that choice.

Irving is ineligible to play home games due to New York City’s vaccine mandate. On top of that, per NBA’s mandate, Irving will not be paid for any games that he misses as a result of refusing to take the COVID-19 vaccine.

The Nets then even explained that they’ll sit Irving in all the other games as well. Additionally Kyrie won’t practice with the team until he’s eligible to play in every game.

Now, during a recent episode of ESPN’s First Take, Stephen A. Smith revealed that he feels sad for Kevin Durant, because Kyrie Irving betrayed him.

“Kevin Durant, I’m sad for you bro. You are all alone. You have no help. And more importantly than anything else, you made the wrong decision by going to Brooklyn.

…Kyrie Irving FLAT out betrayed you!”
