Andrew Bogut Explains Why Mark Jackson Has Not Coached In The NBA Since 2014: “The Well-Noted Church Within A Locker Room”

Mark Jackson’s strong religious beliefs have been well-documented, and the main perception was that the former Golden State Warriors head coach used to force his beliefs and practices upon his players which played a role in his exit from the team.

Jackson had a good run with the Golden State Warriors during his tenure, compiling a record of 121 wins and 109 losses. But since getting fired after the 2014 NBA season, Jackson hasn’t gotten a coaching job despite having his name appearing on every coaching search.

Former Warriors big man Andrew Bogut recently went to Reddit and was asked why his former Warriors head coach hasn’t gotten a job in the NBA since 2014. According to the former NBA center, the well-noted church within the locker room hurts Jackson’s job prospects.

Per Reddit:

“I think everyone deserves a second chance, and he will eventually get another chance,” Bogut said during an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit. “But the well-noted church within a locker room, I think, hurts his job prospects.”
