Metta Sandiford-Artest Believes Ben Simmons Is Going To Be An MVP Candidate In The NBA

Ben Simmons has been one of the most talked-about players in the NBA this offseason. After a disappointing performance in last year’s playoffs, the slander and the blame have been non-stop, and it doesn’t look like it’s stopping soon until Simmons proves his worth in the upcoming NBA season.

However, behind being a subject of many trade rumors and public slander, some fans and personalities remain to be a fan of Simmons’ capability and potential. One of them is former Los Angeles Lakers defensive forward Metta Sandiford-Artest.

When speaking to TMZ, Sandiford-Artest, also known as Metta World Peace, heaps praises on the 25-year old Sixers point guard. According to him, Simmons is going to become an MVP candidate soon while expressing that he will end up as an NBA champion when it’s all said and done.

“This kid is going to be an MVP candidate,” the former All-Star emphatically expressed. “Just because he’s a superstar doesn’t mean he needs to be a shooter.”

“He will be an MVP candidate, and he will be second-team all-NBA, and he will be a champion. Hopefully in Philly with my good brother (and current Sixers GM) Elton Brand. Work it out.”
