Kobe Bryant Statue Outside Lakers Arena To Also Feature His Daughter Gigi
The promised statue of Kobe Bryant that is planned to be unveiled outside of Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena next year, will also feature his daughter, Gianna.
The statue, which is being designed by artist Dan Medina, will depict Bryant in his Lakers uniform with his arm around Gigi.
Medina said that he was inspired to include Gianna in the statue after meeting with Bryant’s widow, Vanessa.
“Vanessa told me that she wanted the statue to be a tribute to Kobe and Gianna’s love for each other and their shared love of basketball,” Medina said. “I think this statue will perfectly capture that.”
The statue is expected to be unveiled on August 8, 2024
