Lakers sophomore Talen Horton-Tucker had been raising eyebrows this past offseason with his stellar play.

The youngest American to ever win an NBA championship, recorded 19 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals in his first preseason game, followed it up with a scorching 33-point game to go along with 10 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 assists in the second game and, 18 points, five rebounds and two assists in 24 minutes in his third.

This has led to Horton-Tucker becoming a valuable part of the Lakers’ rotation in the regular season as well. But many think that the 2nd year man deserves more minutes, after what he’s shown when he had gotten them through the first couple of games of the regular season.

ESPN Analyst and former player, Kendrick Perkins, is under the impression that the reigning champions are purposely trying to bring Horton-Tucker’s value down.
