Kelly Oubre Goes Off On Referees After Controversial Ending: “You’re A Bitch, You’re A Bitch, Your Mom’s A Bitch…”

In a game that will be remembered more for its dramatic conclusion as for the action that preceded it, the Los Angeles Clippers narrowly edged out the Philadelphia 76ers in a contest that left 76ers players, coaches, and fans alike in a state of disbelief and frustration.

The game was tightly contested throughout, but it was the final moments that sparked the most discussion. With the score at 108-107 in favor of the Clippers, Sixers’ forward Kelly Oubre Jr. made a decisive drive to the basket. As he went up for the shot, contact was made with Clippers’ Paul George, leading to a block by Kawhi Leonard as the buzzer sounded.

The Sixers’ bench erupted, claiming a foul should have been called on George. The intensity of the moment was palpable, with Sixers coach Nick Nurse storming the court to confront the officials, and Oubre Jr. himself expressing his frustration over the no-call. Oubre even, in what might be one of the funniest videos of the season, made sure to insult every single official of the game (and their mothers) personally.

“You’re a bitch, you’re a bitch, you’re a bitch, your mom’s a bitch.”

In a post-game review, crew chief Kevin Scott admitted that a mistake had been made, acknowledging that George did indeed drift to his left, making contact with Oubre Jr. This admission has done little to quell the Sixers’ indignation, as the call—or lack thereof—denied Oubre Jr. the opportunity to potentially win the game at the free-throw line.
