LeBron James is a freight train on the basketball court, but he’s also a basketball intellectual by the way he sees things before others, makes split second basketball decisions and calls out plays. When one thinks of a basketball genius, the Lakers superstar definitely stands out among the rest of his peers.

This is the reason why James is considered as the ‘GOAT’ by many fans, and even the majority of fans, who see Michael Jordan as the greatest of all-time, have to admit that James is closing the gap, win by win.

What shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise is that Isiah Thomas, one of Jordan’s biggest rivals, is siding with LeBron James. 

During his appearance on NBA on ESPN’s Max Kellerman show, Thomas said that if the question is just who is the better basketball player all-around, there is no comparison. It’s LeBron James.

“When I take away the genetic gifts and look at basketball playing ability, who is the better basketball player if you don’t have the genetic freakiness with it? I look at all those guys who are similar in size. LeBron, Jordan, Magic, they all have the genetic gift of size. But Jordan had the genetic jumping ability. LeBron has a genetic jumping ability, but if I take away those gifts and say just who is the better basketball player all-around? There is no comparison.”
