Green Vs Warriors! Draymond Green Plans To Appeal Franchise’s $120,000 Fine With Help Of NBPA

On Monday night, Kevin Durant and Draymond Green had an altercation. Durant was confronting Green about not passing the ball to him in the final possession of regulation. Green responded by bringing up Durant’s impending free agency, while calling him a bitch.

This led to a one-game suspension and a $120.000 fine for Green, also because he didn’t stop going at Durant in the locker room after the game.

A source told Marc J. Spears that Green has accepted the suspension, but was surprised at being fined a $120,000. He now plans to appeal the franchise’s decision with the aid of the players association.

Usually, teams meet with the player before such drastic fines or suspensions, that’s why team-issued fines are rarely appealed. In Green’s case it will now be different. He apparently was told for the game to be a “cool-off game”. He’s not ok with losing $120k though. This will definitely not help the already fragile relationship Green and the Warriors have to get better.
