Fan Dies At New Orleans Pelicans-Sacramento Kings In-Season Tournament Game

 

A fan attending the Sacramento Kings’ In-Season Tournament game against the New Orleans Pelicans at Golden 1 Center on Monday night had a medical emergency and died. The fan, whose identity has not been released, was experiencing a medical emergency in the first quarter of the game when emergency medical personnel were called to the scene.

CPR was administered to the fan, but they were unable to be revived. The fan was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

“During the first quarter of the Kings vs. Pelicans game, a guest had a medical emergency,” A Kings statement said. “EMS immediately responded and administered CPR. Tragically, these efforts were unsuccessful and the guest passed away. The organization offers its deepest condolences to the guest’s family and loved ones.”

“As a team, we give our condolences,” Kings forward Keegan Murray said, per ESPN. “Hopefully, the family is being taken care of.”
