Draymond Green’s Mother Defends Him Over Altercation With Jordan Poole: “Dray Didn’t Aggressively Go To Poole”

Draymond Green has made headlines over the past week after the he got into a heated altercation with teammate Jordan Poole in practice which resulted to the Warriors veteran throwing a vicious fist that knocked Poole down.

Green has already opened up about the incident and has delivered a public apology during a Warriors media availability. The 32-year old veteran has also purposely missed time to focus on himself and allow the team to ‘heal’.

While almost everyone is in agreement that Green was at fault for punching his own teammate, Draymond Green’s mom Mary Babers-Green shares a different sentiment. Before deactivating her Twitter account, Babers-Green took to Twitter to defend her son’s actions.

Per Yahoo Sports:

“They can get beyond this. Anything is fixable! Everything ain’t always what you think you see!” Babers-Green wrote.

“That wasn’t a Sucker punch. Dray didn’t aggressively go to Poole. His hands were down. Man to Man you go over to talk (to ask what’s up, what you say)! Got shoved and reacted.. End of story!”
