Proposed Trade Would Pair Devin Booker With Zion Williamson On The New Orleans Pelicans

There’s no doubt the New Orleans Pelicans are building their team around Zion Williamson. At just 23, Williamson isn’t even close to his peak. Currently, he averages 22.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game on 57.0% shooting from the field.

The Pelicans have surrounded him with a talented supporting cast, including quality role players like Trey Murphy, Herbert Jones and Jonas Valanciunas. Brandon Ingram and CJ McCollum also add another layer of firepower alongside Williamson.

However, the Pelicans might want to consider taking some risks and further bolstering their core. Renowned NBA analyst Bill Simmons suggests acquiring Devin Booker, who currently stands as one of the best shooting guards in the NBA with averages of 27.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.9 assists on 49.2% shooting.

“CJ McCollum and Trey Murphy, and throw us 2 future picks, and you can have Booker.”
