Anthony Edwards On Michael Jordan Comparisons: “I Can Shoot The 3, That Makes Me A Little Different”

Drafted as the No.1 overall pick, Anthony Edwards burst onto the NBA scene as a highly touted prospect. Now in his fourth season, Edwards is turning heads with his game, even drawing comparisons to legendary figures like six-time NBA champion Michael Jordan.

From his looks and demeanor to his basketball moves and production, it’s easy to see why Edwards evokes comparisons. Edwards himself isn’t entirely claiming it, but there’s no denying the similarities.

Edwards recently said he wants the comparisons to stop. However, when cornered to discuss them, Edwards highlights a key difference between him and Jordan, and that is his ability to shoot from deep.

“I want people to be like: this Anthony Edwards kid he got his own style. He maybe got a mix of MJ in him.. but I can shoot the 3, so think that makes me a little different than Michael Jordan.”
