Oklahoma City Thunder guard Lu Dort has built a reputation in the NBA as one of the league’s fiercest defenders. But at his recent youth basketball camp, Dort took that reputation to a whole new level, by locking down kids with the same intensity he uses to guard All-Stars.
In a now-viral clip from the camp, Dort can be seen defending young hoopers with full-on NBA-level aggression. One unlucky camper tried to score on him in a one-on-one drill, only to be stripped, stumbled, and trash-talked by the Thunder’s defensive enforcer. The moment was equal parts hilarious and humbling and a reminder that Dort doesn’t turn off the switch, even for kids.

Dort’s journey from undrafted free agent in 2019 to NBA champion and All-Defensive First Team member in 2025 is a testament to his grit. Built like a linebacker and wired like a lockdown specialist, he’s become the Thunder’s defensive backbone, and one of the most respected stoppers in the league.
