That is not a statement. That is a shrug wearing sneakers.
The league fined Robinson $50,000 after his role in the Knicks-Hawks Game 6 altercation. The amount was higher because of an inappropriate social media post after the game. Dyson Daniels was fined $25,000 for his part in the same incident. Robinson and Daniels were both ejected after the second-quarter tussle, but the Knicks still went on to win 140-89 and advance.
So yes, the NBA had reason to talk. But Robinson’s response turned the entire disciplinary machinery into comedy. The league can issue fines, make calls, send messages and remind players where the lines are. Robinson, apparently, can sit through the conversation and leave with the same energy as someone who missed the instructions before a school field trip.
