Before the Oklahoma City Thunder’s season opener against the Houston Rockets, the Thunder held a nationally televised ring ceremony at Paycom Center to celebrate their 2025 NBA Championship, the franchise’s first-ever title. But it wasn’t just the banner or the cheers that stole the show. It was the ring.
Designed by The Champions Collective, the Thunder’s championship ring is a marvel of craftsmanship and innovation. Each ring features:
- Over 800 custom-cut, hand-set gemstones, symbolizing the team’s relentless pursuit of excellence.
- A pop-top mechanism that reveals a hidden surprise: a smaller, removable band ring personalized for each player.
- The inner band includes the player’s jersey number and signature, making it both a keepsake and a wearable tribute.
The top of the ring opens to reveal an image of the team hoisting the Larry O’Brien Trophy, while one side commemorates the Thunder’s historic 68–14 season record. The other side features each player’s number surrounded by lightning bolts.

I’ve heard repeatedly from players and staff championship rings have become unwearable with how big they’ve gotten. The reasonably sized ring inside the pop top here is a great solution. pic.twitter.com/eXzn6SByEF

Thunder chairman Clay Bennett, GM Sam Presti, head coach Mark Daigneault, and the entire roster, including Finals MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, received their rings in front of a roaring home crowd. The ceremony was broadcast live, with emotional highlights from the Finals win over the Indiana Pacers and tributes to the team’s journey from rebuilding to champions.
While the exact cost of each ring hasn’t been disclosed, industry experts estimate its value between $50,000 and $100,000, placing it among the most elaborate championship rings in NBA history.
