Kevin Durant Trade Expected In Coming Weeks, Knicks Emerge As Potential Suitor

Kevin Durant has quickly become one of the most talked-about names of the offseason. The 36-year-old forward started 62 games for the Phoenix Suns, averaging 26.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 52.7% from the floor and 43% from deep.

While the Suns ended up finishing 11th in the Western Conference and missing the playoffs, there’s no denying that Kevin Durant still played at an All-Star level and remains a major asset for any team looking to contend.

But with Phoenix already exploring trade options for Durant before the deadline and with things falling flat between him, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, there’s growing belief around the league that Durant could be moved this offseason.

NBA analyst Brian Windhorst thinks this is going to happen sooner than later. He believes Durant will be traded in the coming weeks and hinted that the New York Knicks, fresh off an Eastern Conference Finals run, will be one of the teams expected to pursue the two-time Finals MVP.

“Kevin Durant is expected to be traded in the coming weeks, and the Knicks are among the teams likely to pursue him.”
