The Clutch Player of the Year Award recognizes players who have made significant contributions to their team’s success in close games or during the final minutes of a game.
The award was first introduced for this current season, named after Jerry West, and is voted on by a media panel based on nominations from NBA head coaches.
Yesterday, it was revealed that Sacramento Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox is the first winner of the award. Fox led the NBA by scoring 194 total points in the clutch, which the NBA defines as any game in which the score is within five points with five minutes or less remaining on the clock.
Additionally, the All-Star was also incredibly efficient in the clutch, shooting 52.7% from the floor. Here are some of his most clutch moments.
