Warriors Coach Mike Brown Was Almost Arrested Before Game 2
Eight straight playoffs wins. It has been smooth sailing so far for the Warriors in these playoffs.
Ever since Game 3 of the first round against Portland, lead assistant coach and former Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown took over. Brown, 2009’s Coach of the Year, led the Warriors to a second round sweep against the Utah Jazz and has done an outstanding job so far. It seems like no-one could stop him right now.
Well, no-one, except the San Antonio Spurs team bus. Before last night’s Game 2, Mike Brown was almost arrested when driving to Oracle Arena thanks to the Spurs team bus that was behind him.
You need to listen to this story. I love it. Mike Brown is an amazing story teller and really got me into the story; he exudes charisma.
“Then I get this phone call – Gregg Popovich! So I answer the phone and Pop is dying. He goes: “Mike, I didn’t know it was you, I’m sitting here and see this black Range Rover, I see all these cops surrounding it. I’m like, he’s about to be arrested.” I said; Pop, that’s my own building”
