THE LIST: Cleveland Will Work Out A Number of Veteran Guards to Fulfill Playmaker Role
When LeBron James says the Cleveland Cavaliers need a “fu**ing playmaker,” the Cleveland Cavaliers go out and get a “fu**ing playmaker.”
According to ESPN reports, the Cavaliers have a few players in mind to trade for or sign prior to the February 23. 2017 Trade Deadline, and will work out a few veteran guards to backup Kyrie Irving.
If Cleveland were to make a trade, they would have to use their assets in Jordan McRae, DeAndre Liggins, Kay Felder, and draft picks to acquire what they need. The reigning champions have their eyes set on Dallas Mavericks three-time All-Star Deron Williams who won two gold medals alongside LeBron James for Team USA in 2008 and 2012. Adding Williams to the already-stacked roster would bring another marquee name to Cleveland.
Players Who Will Work Out For Cleveland:

Former Charlotte Hornets phenom Baron Davis, 37—who hasn’t competed in the NBA since 2011-2012—has made it known he’s available for the roster spot and attempt to win his first championship.
Cleveland’s list is packed with veteran guards who all have had notable careers; it’ll be interesting to watch who they decide to sign.
