In a pivotal move last season, the Atlanta Hawks decided to restructure their coaching lineup, parting ways with long-time head coach Nate McMillan. In his place, Quin Snyder, known for his coaching stint with the Utah Jazz, was brought in.

The decision paid dividends, with Snyder steering the Hawks to the second round of the NBA playoffs. Although their journey ended before the Eastern Conference Finals, the Hawks displayed an impressive fight, pushing the Boston Celtics to a hard-fought six games.

Following the Hawks’ first season with Snyder at the helm, Hawks superstar Trae Young appears to have taken a liking towards playing under his leadership. This positive impression is undeniably evident when Young voices his long-term goal of playing under Snyder, with the ultimate goal of winning multiple NBA championships.

“Hopefully Quin for me is my Steve Kerr. Like I hope Quin is the guy that we win three, four championships with. I mean, that’s the plan,” Young told Draymond Green on The Draymond Green Podcast.
