Shaquille O’Neal: “There Is Nothing Wrong With Draymond”

On Tuesday night, Draymond Green was once again ejected from the court. Just a couple of weeks after serving a five-game suspension for a headlock on Rudy Gobert, the Golden State Warriors star delivered a punch to Suns big man, Jusuf Nurkić’s face.

Both players engaged in a fight for positions on the court. Following the incident in the third quarter of the game, and after reviewing the play, the referees rightfully ejected Green.

Then, the following day, the NBA announced that Green has been suspended indefinitely. The NBA announced the penalty handed down by operations chief Joe Dumars and said the suspension begins immediately. The statement by the NBA also revealed that Green needs to fulfill some terms and requirements, before he’ll get reinstated.

Now, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal spoke on the topic for the first time. Surprisingly, Shaq doesn’t agree with the majority of people, while saying that there’s nothing wrong with Green.

“There is nothing wrong with Draymond. Y’all treating him like he’s crazy. He’s been playing like this the whole time. The same way that got him four championships. Nothing wrong with him. That’s the only thing I don’t like about this situation. He’s been playing like this the entire time. I mean, how many techs has he been getting every year? How many times have you seen him get at the referee? This is the way he has to play to become Draymond Green.”
