Paul George Fires Back At Critics After Win Against The Suns: “People Living On That Last Year”

Paul George and the Los Angeles Clippers have a lot to prove this season, bearing in mind that they became the laughing stock of the league after they blew a 3-1 lead against the Denver Nuggets who sent them home in the second round of the NBA playoffs last season.

Much has been said about George’s performance for the Clippers last season. The 30-year old Clippers star failed to meet expectations and kept coming up short on multiple occasions in both the regular season and the playoffs. His struggles were made fun of and earned him the moniker of ‘Pandemic P’.

George however, isn’t letting the outside noise dictate his performance going forward. On Sunday, George exploded for 39 points to lead the Clippers in a sweet victory against the Phoenix Suns. After the win, George got some words for his critics and uttered that he’s finally back.

“I had a tough year last year, people think it’s weak coz I was down. I didn’t hear none of this my 10 years in the league…But people living on that last year. I gotta answer that, I gotta be ready for that. I’m ready to compete, I’m back.”
