Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the best players in the NBA. The two-time MVP has led the Milwaukee Bucks to their first championship in 50 years, and has established himself as a dominant force on both ends of the floor.

Since Giannis was able to win the DPOY and two MVP awards, he is only one of five players in NBA History to have achieved this feat, with the others being Michael Jordan, Hakeem Olajuwon, David Robinson, and Kevin Garnett… not the worst company.

During this past All-Star weekend in Indianapolis, Giannis claimed that he does not watch basketball, and that he has no idea who he will be playing on any given day, before the game.

However, as he explained himself, it quickly became clear, that he was capping:

“I just, in general, do not watch basketball. So stats, highlights, how people play, I have no idea. And I love it, you know? I love when I go to the game, I have no idea who I’m playing and what they do.”

As you can imagine, people didn’t really believe him, especially in the modern era, it virtually seems impossible for an NBA player to not be aware of the opponents he’ll be facing on any given night. let alone a superstar player like Antetokounmpo.

The Greek Freak was selected to the NBA’s First-Team All-Defense in four consecutive seasons, meaning he’s often having to guard the best player on the other team… but without knowing who it’l be? With teams and coaches using this much film? Not believable.

NBA Twitter thought the same and reacted accordingly and called him out.
