NBA Legend Dirk Nowitzki Heaps Praise On Anthony Edwards: “He’s The Complete Package”

 

In the aftermath of a thrilling Game 1 that saw the Minnesota Timberwolves take a lead in their playoff series against the Denver Nuggets, NBA legend Dirk Nowitzki had high praise for Anthony Edwards’ exceptional performance.

“He’s an unbelievable athlete, with the mindset, he’s got the skillset with it. He’s the complete package. He doesn’t get discouraged; he just attacks all night long. He might miss a couple, but he keeps coming,” Nowitzki remarked.

 

Edwards’ performance was not just about scoring; he also contributed seven rebounds, three assists, one steal, and two blocks, showcasing his all-around game. 

Nowitzki, known for his own legendary playoff performances, recognized the young Timberwolf’s ability to maintain a good rhythm throughout the game.

 

“Honestly, he just kept on doing what he was doing early on. Attacking and also he had a good rhythm all night long. Doing it all,” Nowitzki said.

 

 

The Timberwolves’ perfect start to the postseason, with a 5-0 record, has been largely attributed to Edwards’ contributions. Averaging 33.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game, Edwards has been a force to reckon with.
