The 7’6 center, who played for the Sixers, Nets and Mavs in his 12-year NBA career, and for Team Germany on an international level, was among the league’s leading shot blockers throughout his entire career, and led the entire NBA in blocks in 1997.
When the devastating news broke, many in the NBA world offered their support, thoughts and prayers.
