Monty Williams Thinks Alperen Sengun Tops Nikola Jokic And Joel Embiid As A Post-Up Player

The Houston Rockets have been gelling well this season, and Alperen Sengun is one of the key players making it happen.

Through 31 games, Sengun is averaging 21.3 points, 9.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game on 54.4% shooting from the field. He has been a bright spot and has proved to be a reliable source of offense for the Rockets, who are the 8th seed in the Western Conference right now.

Many have been impressed with Sengun, one of whom is Detroit Pistons head coach Monty Williams. After facing Sengun and the Rockets this week, Williams gave him some massive praise, appointing him as the best post-up player in the league right now.

“He might be the best post-up guy in the league now. It’s like Jokic, Embiid and him.”
