LeBron James Debutes Newest Signautre Shoe, The Nike LeBron 18

As the NBA is resuming the 2019-20 season, LeBron has debuted his newest signature sneaker, the Nike LeBron 18, before the Los Angeles Lakers’ scrimmage last night, and on his Instagram Stories.

The new sneakers have a new cushioning unit that integrates Max Air at the heel and Zoom at the forefoot, a refined traction system, and a tongue that swaps foam for actual Air pockets.

While the shoe won’t be released until September, LeBron is giving them a public test run in the NBA Bubble. Designer Jason Petrie described the LeBron 18 inspiration, per Nick DePaula:

“At this point, LeBron has spent half his life with Nike. We wanted to make him a shoe that played with this idea of two halves.”
