Kobe On Lakers-Davis Trade: “Kuzma, Lonzo, Ingram Are They Better Than Anthony Davis? No! Ciao! Bye!”

At the beginning of this year, Anthony Davis and his agent, Rich Paul, informed the New Orleans Pelicans that Davis has no intention of signing a contract extension, and that he is requesting a trade.

The NBA then fined Davis $50,000, due to the trade request being a violation of the NBA’s collective bargaining agreement, barring public trade demands. But Davis’ dream of being traded, wasn’t made a reality, yet. Things will look differently this summer and the chances for Davis to be on a different team to start the 2019-2020 season are pretty high. The Lakers still appear to be the front runners.

In an interview with AS, former Lakers star Kobe Bryant now was asked if the whole trade shenanigans mislead players and caused for some bad blood within the franchise. Kobe though says that if you have the chance to get Davis, you do every possible thing in order to actually bring him on your team.

Kuzma, Lonzo, Ingram … Are all three better than Anthony Davis? No no! Ciao! Bye! Anthony Davis is one of the best players in the world. Not only now, but in history. What are we talking about? If you can sign Anthony Davis, you do it. If not, ok. We then have three players who are very young and who work hard. They are intelligent and have to develop. But if you can sign Anthony Davis … yes!
