Kendrick Perkins Hilariously Rips Michael Jordan Over Gordon Hayward Contract

Last week, Gordon Hayward signed a four-year, $120 million deal with the Charlotte Hornets. By doing so, he became only the third player in NBA history to sign two different contracts worth $30+ million a year, next to LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

Ever sine his gruesome leg injury during his Celtics debut in 2017, Hayward has had a troubling injury history, and only was able to play an average of 41.6 games per season for the Celtics over the last three years.

His injury history and the fact that he’s already 30 years old, had the NBA world stunned about the value of his contract. Many people reacted by ripping Michael Jordan for being a bad owner, one of them being former NBA Champion and current ESPN analyst, Kendrick Perkins, who even contemplates an NBA comeback to the Charlotte Hornets in order to grab some of the money Jordan is giving out.

“This was a bad deal, we coming off Thanksgiving and Michael Jordan already thinking about Christmas, because if he’s gonna be this giving, I might have to retire from ESPN and go get back in shape, because if he’s going to giving out millions of dollars, I can go out there and go send picks and rebound if he’s just in a giving mood… This type of signing is not good.”
