Kelly Oubre Jr. On Michael Jordan As Hornets Owner: “He’s The Greatest Competitor Of All-Time… He Talks To You Like A Player”

Kelly Oubre Jr. has brought in some needed production for the Charlotte Hornets this season, putting up 16.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game on 45.9% shooting. In his first year with the Hornets, the 26-year old shared what it’s like to play under the supervision of Hornets owner Michael Jordan.

Jordan was quite a competitor during his playing days with the Chicago Bulls and the Washington Wizards. Apparently, that competitive nature is seeping into his tenure as an owner of the Hornets as well.

In an interview, Oubre called Jordan the greatest competitor of all-time, sharing how the legendary six-time NBA champion constantly pushes everyone on the team to get better.

“He’s the greatest competitor of all time. So whenever he’s around, he pushes me, he pushes us as a group. He has that, ‘Come on man, you know better than that shit,’ but he talks to you like a player, like a peer, instead of a boss or owner.” Kelly Oubre Jr. on Michael Jordan.
