Jusuf Nurkic Thanks Fans And Players For Their Support After His Gruesome Leg Injury In Heartfelt Message
This past week, a gruesome injury happened once again. This time, it was Nurkic who suffered a horrific leg injury that may possibly be career threatening.
Nurkic, who still is only 24-years old has been playing an amazing season, averaging 15.6 points, 10.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 72 games. This injury obviously also is a low blow to the entire Blazers organization. Losing a key player in the hard-fought Western Conference shortly before the start of the playoffs, might almost certainly result in a first round-exit (you know it is true).
Plenty of players, fans and officials sent their thoughts and prayers to Nurk, who now has responded for the first time after suffering the injury, thanking everybody for their warm wishes. Per Instagram:
“THANK YOU to everyone who has reached out to me and sent their well wishes and prayers to me after my injury. I greatly appreciate the support. I want to send a special thanks to my teammates, the Trail Blazer organization, the RIP City fans, my coaches, the team trainers and Doctors who have helped me these last few days. I will work hard during my recovery and am looking forward to getting back healthy and on the court and rejoining my teammates. I will be rooting them on during the playoffs. Thanks again to #RIPCity for all the love and support.
