Jaxson Hayes Sentenced To Three Years Probation, 450 Hours Community Service And A Year Of Domestic Violence Classes

Last August, New Orleans Pelicans big man Jaxson Hayes was arrested in Los Angeles, at his own house, following a brawl with Los Angeles Police, who followed domestic violence call.

During the brawl, Hayes got tasered and eventually taken into a hospital. The Pelicans were aware of the situation, while working on additional information. A report by TMZ then shed some light on the case. They tased him for two and a half minutes.

A couples of weeks later, body camera footage of Jaxson Hayes’ arrest was released and it was hard to watch. The footage included one Los Angeles police officer briefly pressing a knee to the neck of Hayes as he gasped for air while saying “I can’t breathe”.

In the aftermath of the incident, Hayes has now been sentenced to three years of probation, 450 hours of community service and a year of weekly domestic violence classes.
