Jason Williams Believes It Would Be Harder For Michael Jordan To Score In This Era

One of the best traits that Michael Jordan had was his elite scoring ability. In his career, he was a 10x scoring champion who had some historical performances like his 63-point game against the Boston Celtics in 1986, which remains the most points scored in a playoff game in NBA history.

It’s also worth mentioning that Jordan played in an era where hand-checking was present and the physicality of the game was on a different level. Despite it, the Chicago Bulls legend had no trouble getting to his spots and scorch defenses like no other.

Now, over the past couple of years, fans and pundits have tried to speculate how Jordan would fare in today’s era considering that defenses and physicality have changed over time. One of the latest personality to share his take was former Sacramento Kings guard Jason Williams.

According to Williams, better known as ‘White Chocolate’, it would be harder for Jordan to score in today’s era as he would have to face teams with more defensive options like the Milwaukee Bucks, who have Jrue Holiday, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez.

“It was easy for him to get to the bucket against GP as it would be against Jrue Holiday today with Giannis and Brook Lopez sitting back there…He’s not scoring as easy today as he did back then”
