The Houston Rockets Have A ‘Legitimate Shot’ At Signing LeBron James

The Houston Rockets have won nine straight games and thrown on top of the Western Conference with an amazing 20-4 record. In every game their new star point guard, Chris Paul, has played, the Rockets are unbeaten. The team seems to get better and better every game. Before the season, there were some concerns about how the two superstars will be able to co-exist. But the two have figured it out quicky. The Rockets have emerged as real contenders and it’s hard to think about how the team could get even better next year.

But according to Sam Amick of USA Today, the Rockets have a plan to do exactly that – get even better. Apparently, the Rockets believe they can still add the biggest star in the league, LeBron James, who could become a free agent in the offseason.

“While James has made it clear that he won’t deliberate his uncertain future until the Cavs’ season is complete, there is strong belief in Rockets circles that they’ll have a legitimate shot at landing the four-time MVP this summer. Rival executives also believe the Rockets will have a real chance. And once you really look at it, when you get past all the noise about the Lakers and even the compelling case for the up-and-coming Philadelphia 76ers, it makes all sorts of sense.”

We know that Chris Paul and LeBron James are very close friends. But in order to make this big three (probably the best big 3 in the league) possible, both Paul and James would have to give up a lot of money.
