Floyd Mayweather Rips NBA Players For Sitting Out Games: “With That Type Of Money, You Need To Be Out There Playing”

It’s no secret that boxing icon Floyd Mayweather loves the game of basketball and is one who constantly attends NBA games. But like any other NBA fan, Mayweather has his own criticism of the NBA and its players as well.

Appearing on Sports Icon, the 45-year old boxing legend made it clear that he’s not a fan of NBA stars who sit out games to rest, particularly those who don’t have any health injury problems at all. This notion is also known as load management.

Load management has been widely criticized across the NBA and is mainly associated with NBA players such as Kawhi Leonard and LeBron James. Many personalities have already weighed in on the topic, with Mayweather being the latest one.

“They will play a couple games and take a couple games off,” he said. “That’s not cool. With that type of money, if you’re not hurt, you need to be out there playing ’cause these people pay a lot of money for these NBA players to entertain.”
