Devin Booker Seeks Fairness Following Loss Against The Los Angeles Lakers

The Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Lakers engaged in a tightly contested game, ending with the Lakers edging out the Suns to advance to the in-season tournament semifinals. LeBron James led the way with 31 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists on 48.0% shooting from the field.

As entertaining and intense as it was, the game didn’t end without some controversy. A key controversial event was when the referees allowed a Lakers timeout on LeBron’s call, right when Austin Reaves, Devin Booker and Kevin Durant were in the thick of a battle for the ball.

This decision didn’t sit well with many, especially Suns fans. They claimed Reaves had either dropped the ball or wasn’t in clear possession of the ball when the timeout happened, unlike what Lakers fans believed.

After the game wrapped up, Suns superstar Devin Booker also spoke out, leaving no doubt that he was not pleased with how the officials handled the game, especially the Lakers’ final timeout during the Reaves scramble.

“We’re not asking for favoritism, just a fair chance.”
