Darko Rajakovic Surprised Scottie Barnes With All-Star News On The Team Bus

Every NBA season, the announcement of All-Star rosters sparks a mix of excitement and debate among fans, players, and analysts. In the midst of cheers for those selected, there are also groans for perceived omissions — the All-Star snubs.

This year, one of the biggest snubs was Toronto Raptors forward Scottie Barnes. Barnes is having an incredible season, at least when you look at it from an individual standpoint. He’s averaging 20.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.5 blocks per game, and has truly emerged as one of the season’s breakout stars.

Then yesterday, the All-Star luck changed for Barnes, when it was revealed that he was one of the two Eastern Conference replacements. Since Joel Embiid and Julius Randle will miss the All-Star Game due to injuries, Trae Young and Scottie Barnes deservedly were named their respective replacements.

On the team bus, Raptors coach Darko Rajakovic surprised Barnes with the amazing news of him becoming an NBA All-Star for the first time in his career, and Barnes’ teammates reacted accordingly. Always wholesome to see these moments.
