Damian Lillard Reacts To Tyrese Haliburton’s Dame Time Celebration: “Be Humble”

Damian Lillard has consistently made it clear when he takes over in the fourth quarter or in clutch moments, often by tapping his wrist following a clutch basket. This gesture is famously known as “Dame Time.”

But in the in-season tournament game between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Indiana Pacers, it wasn’t Lillard showcasing his time to shine. Instead, Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton, after sinking a three-pointer in the game’s final moments, looked at his wrist, seemingly mocking Lillard’s signature gesture.

Haliburton indeed had his time, finishing with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 15 assists on 57.9% shooting to lead the Pacers to a victory over the Bucks. However, shortly after mocking Lillard’s celebration, Haliburton received a stern piece of advice from the veteran NBA superstar.

“I’ve also known that when you’re having your moment, it’s important to be careful and be humble… because you just never know how the table turns and it when it’s gonna turn. I respect it. We shook hands after the game. I wasn’t moved by it left or right.”
