Chris Paul Says He Learned Nothing And Has No Regrets About Playoff Failure Against The Dallas Mavericks Last Season

It sure seemed like a battle between the Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Finals was about to happen last season, but what transpired was quite a surprise to many NBA fans and pundits alike.

Up 2-0 against the Mavericks in the second-round of the playoffs, the Suns failed to take control of the series and got pushed to seven games. Their promising season then came to an embarrassing end as the Mavericks blew them out with a score of 123-90 in Game 7.

Coming off a disappointing run, Suns point guard Chris Paul spoke to reporters on Monday and answered a couple of questions. Asked whether he learned or regretted anything from the Suns’ season-ending series loss to the Mavericks, the 37-year old star opted to give an honest answer.

Per Bright Side Of The Sun:

“Not really, honestly,” Paul said. “I haven’t thought about it too much. At some point, I’ll probably get back to watching the film. Maybe watch it, maybe not. I hate to keep saying the same thing over and over, but for me, this summer was like putting that time in with my family.”
